They said it was written in our palms
As if etched iceburg to mountain
As if these lines weren’t carved by dreams

Shifting together destiny and cell
From tired wrists we reach and lift
Gravity lets go and we soar

The metal plate over this chest is sore
I scrape and pry with these Palms
a crack gives way to Lift

And we finally see whats under the Mountain
Under each of these Cells
A writhing microcosm of Dreams

The bare broken wonder of Dreams
That lifts mind to sky to Soar
Shifting nucleus to electron to Cell

Feel it gathering, pooling in your Palms
Strength like Atlas at the top of the Mountain
These clouds could use a lift

These convictions could use a Lift
So they could see at their edge lies Dreams
Hurled down from the top of the Mountain

They conjure wings and Soar
Only to find a home inside your Palms
And disintegrate into cell

Why would you try to sell
What you struggle to Lift
The will of gripping Palms

Let go to let in the forest of Dreams
We all struggle to Soar
Its always the first step to the mountain

To the last gift on the precipice of the Mountain
That reaches into every Cell
Though tired, worked and Soar

Every muscle and tendon is needed to Lift
The bleached bones of our Dreams
The willing flesh of these Palms
